THE POWER OF PRAISE

Scripture Reading - Psalms 9:1-3

1 I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.
2 I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.
3 When mine enemies are turned back, they shall fall and perish at thy presence. KJV

“The power of praise” is one of the mightiest spiritual weapons we possess. Praise is more than a song or a few kind words about God. Praise is an active word, it is releasing God into your life. As you praise God and speak of His marvelous works your faith will rise on the inside of you to receive the blessings of God. Despite the circumstances of life we know our Lord has not forsaken us. He is always there with us to help us and protection us. We have within us the presence and power of Almighty God Himself to release whenever we will. He inhabits the praises of His people. Praise is comely (beautiful) for the believer and before God. After we have prayed according to God’s Word then we must keep God’s Word at work on the situation or circumstance. This is where “Praise” comes into play, praise gives thrust to the Power of God’s Word. We should activate the power of God in every area of our life by speaking the Word and “Praising” God that His marvelous works have been performed on our behalf. Worshipping God for who He is and offering praise to the Lord with thanksgiving keeps heaviness away! It keeps you focused on God instead of on yourself or the circumstances confronting your life. Praise keeps your prayers pure and protects you from taking pressure from the problem. Praise also gives proper credit to God for all the good solutions (answers) you receive from your Heavenly Father. You might be thinking sometimes I just don’t feel like praising God, but in Hebrews 13:15 it states “Let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise”. That means praise the Lord when your feelings say you want to cry or go and hide. Prayer asks, while “praise” receives. Praise and thanksgiving receives the answer by faith and thanks God for the answer before the answer is actually visible to the natural man. Praise ensures that you keep your heart and mind in an attitude of faith. Praise always triumphs over complaining. Now is the time to rejoice, time to rise up above exhaustion, and implement the power of praise. When you do, you’ll enter a domain of power, freedom, and the joy of the Lord. A domain that permeates the Glory of God because you are alive and proclaiming the Praises of God in Jesus Name. Amen!
